“Our green friends on the window sill” exhibition, 14-22 April

The long wait is over – this Saturday we open the exhibition named Our green friends on the window sill. Indoor plants are always popular among amateur gardeners. Selection in horticultural stores is now larger than ever, so try not to miss the opportunity to get acquainted with the novelties of the world of indoor plants at the exhibition of the Tallinn Botanic Garden. A rare West Australian endemic of the silky eremophila (Eremophila nivea) will be exhibited here for the first time – this luxurious plant boasts an out-of-this-world combination of silvery-gray leaves and blue-lilac flowers that will leave no one indifferent. Among other unusual indoor plants, the exhibition also features the likes ofvoodoo-lily (Sauromatum venosum) and Asiatic pennywort (Centella asiatica). Along with exotic novelties, you can also see plants that were frequent guests on the window sills of our grandmothers – the exhibition has such stars as emerald palm (Zamioculcas zamiifolia), areca palm (Dypsis lutescens) and many others.

Study visits are arranged on weekends at 12:00 and 13:00.
