1.-10.03 “Orchid Days”
The spring exhibition of orchids in the Tallinn Botanic Garden has become a long-awaited event, not only for orchid lovers, but also for flower enthusiasts in general. For several decades, the Botanic Garden can rightly be proud of its collection of orchids.
Orchids have been preparing for this event for an entire year, and finally their time has come – you can admire the beautiful flowers at the exhibition that opens on 1 March. The traditional orchid exhibition will feature all kinds of orchid representatives: awesome Paphiopedilums, delightful Vandas, devious Cattleyas, regal Cymbidiums, and countless hybrids. Of course, at the exhibition you will be able to see a variety of naturally occurring orchid species from different parts of the world.
During the weekends visitors can buy orchids for their own collections (March 1–3 and March 8–10). Orchids are sold by Flores Aed OÜ, a longtime partner of the Botanic Garden. Experienced specialists will be ready to answer your questions regarding growing orchids at home.
During the orchid exhibition in the Palm House you will be able to see a photo exhibition of the Estonian Orchid Protection Club, dedicated to the representatives of orchids found in Estonia.
The exhibition is open in the greenhouse complex of the Botanic Garden from Monday to Sunday from 11:00 to 16:00. The price of the exhibition is included in the price of a regular ticket.
