Curator tour in the Garden of Senses on August 10th
On August 10th at 12:00 PM, the curator of the Garden of Senses and senior gardener of the Tallinn Botanic Garden, Ave Visnapuu, will lead visitors on a curator tour through the Garden of Senses. During the tour, she will introduce various food plants and their cultivation.
Established in 2015, the Garden of Senses primarily grows useful plants, showcasing both well-known and new, exciting species. A significant portion of the collection consists of culinary and medicinal herbs, including grains, fiber, and oil plants grown in Estonia, as well as a variety of vegetables and root crops. The collection features many annual plants, allowing the species and variety composition of the display to change annually. The Garden of Senses caters to experts, hobby gardeners, medicinal plant enthusiasts, food gourmets, and school students. Special attention is also given to visitors with special needs—plants in the Garden of Senses can be experienced through all senses: seeing, touching, smelling, sometimes tasting, and even hearing.
Meeting point for the tour is at the entrance of the Tallinn Botanic Garden. Participation is included with the entrance ticket.
The tour is in Estonian.
